Oboe d’amore after Deper
Pitch A=415 Hz. Stained boxwood or service tree (sorb tree). Three silver keys, fourth double tone-hole. Fourth single tone-hole, as on the original, on request. An alto oboe bell, as on the original, can also be delivered on request.
The original instrument : Alto hautboy preserved in Wien museum, under the number Wien 149. Dark stained fruit-tree wood, marked M. Deper on the center joint. Three brass keys. Short flared bell.
This instrument is one of the rare subsisting alto hautboy (haute-contre) of the baroque period.
