Jean-Baptiste Hannès Desjardins, member of the Grande Ecurie at the beginning of the XVIIIth century, belonged to a great family of musicians in the service of the King. He was a teacher, a player and an instrument maker in Paris. The copied instrument might date back to the years 1715-1720.
